The Vertical Group's principals are active in National Venture Capital Association (NVCA) activities, and were among the founders of the Association's Medical Industry Group. The Vertical Group is the successor to the venture capital division of F. Eberstadt & Co., and has been an independent firm since 1988. The Vertical Group is headquartered in Basking Ridge, New Jersey, and has an office in San Mateo, California.
