Founded in 2009, the Capital Angel Network (CAN) has been investing in startups in the National Capital Region for almost a decade. Since its inception CAN members have invested over $20M into over 60 early stage companies. This funding has also leveraged over $100M in additional investment through government grants, syndication with other angels groups and venture. The portfolio has now seen 8 exits that provided a positive return for investors. In 2017 our membership base grew to over 50 Angels...Our group made 14 new and 6 follow-on investments totalling $3M in investment.
